Anastasia Radievska
Anastasia was born in Ukraine, and has lived in Australia since she was nine years old. She loves hiking, having trekked through the Carpathian mountains (where she incidentally lost any previous affection for rain, hills and mud). She also enjoys observing the madhouse of global affairs, trying to play guitar and going for what seem like really long bike rides (before she looks at the map). She has an overweight cat, an over-protective dog, is vegetarian, and hopes to one day walk the Santiago de Compostela.

Asanga Seneviratne
Asanga Seneviratne is a 14-year-old Year 10 student at Haileybury College who has big dreams. His interests spread far and wide but most notably concern aviation, sport, business, music, technology and world affairs. Asanga believes with hard work he can achieve his goals, though he hasn't decided on a career path just yet. A self-proclaimed magazine and news fanatic, you'll often find Asanga trying to balance his studying and reading time. He enjoys having a go, despite a lack of success in some pursuits, and doing his best for the things he is passionate about.

Ava Hammond
Ava Hammond is nearly 14, loves life and is frequently asked to shut up and stop laughing; the same goes for singing. She owns one precious (if stupid) dog named Sweetie and one haughty cat, Jasmine. She is one of three girls and loves netball (even if her sisters are better than her). She juggles school work with violin and singing. Her ultimate dream is to be a lawyer or journalist.

Billie Tumarkin
Currently occupied with convincing teachers why she shouldn't do her school work, Billie Tumarkin is a Year 11 student at St Michael's Grammar with a deep love of the arts. Music and books are the foundations of her world, sanity and perception of reality. She hopes to go on with singing and writing till her vocal chords snap and her fingers can type no more. She also wishes to study abroad and (glamorously) backpack through Europe. But till then she can be found sitting on the floor with her laptop, a pile of dreams and the panic-stricken look that comes from being a serial procrastinator.

Hashela Kumarawansa
Unlike her tiny stature, Hashela Kumarawansa has big ideas and goals. Hashela has always dreamt of becoming a news reporter and aspires to one day be behind the news desk, delivering news on national television. For now, Hashela is enjoying inspiring young people to have a voice through her writing. Since joining The Under Age, Hashela has turned 18 and is currently studying Journalism at RMIT University.

James Liu
James Liu is a 17-year-old aspiring photographer and technology nerd. Currently in his final year of high school, he hopes to join the fast-paced world of news through a career in photojournalism. While considered a relatively lazy person at home, there is little that James wouldn't do to get that winning shot. In his spare time, he enjoys playing Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike: Source, and is always up for discussing anything related to photography or technology.

Jess Whitby is a driven Year 12 student, who’s not afraid to share her opinion. She’s fiercely passionate about national and international politics, as well as writing, with big dreams of becoming a foreign correspondent or political journalist. She would one day love to travel the world but, for now, she’s just trying to make it through Year 12 alive.

Nick Fisher is a 17-year-old student at Mentone Grammar School, and four year Australian Defence Force Cadet. Fascinated with foreign politics, he seeks to become a journalist or lawyer after school. Armed with an inquisitive mind and sharp tongue, Nick is always seeking to learn new things, and is always up for a lively debate.

Rachael Ward is interested in Australian politics, literature and history. She's a British chat show enthusiast who spends the majority of her 'study time' rearranging her bookshelf. Rachael knows her ultimate key to happiness lies in writing, though it's closely followed by a strong cup of coffee.

Rayne Hallam
Rayne Hallam is often asked why she has pen on her face and has a little notebook that she writes her favourite words in. She enjoys photography, reading and constantly rearranging her bedroom. Rayne can walk on stilts and fire twirl, and spends many hours looking at real estate in various countries she decides to move to.

Ryan Tennison is 17 and currently attends Salesian College, Chadstone. He plays basketball and tennis whilst trying to survive the rigors of Year 12. He enjoys watching and playing sports, as well as writing and listening to music. He hopes to one day move to Miami.

Sarah Ellett is 15 years old and lives her life on the internet. She enjoys a variety of geeky TV shows and movies, and has a keen interest in climate action and civil rights activism. She considers sports to be a form of oppression. Her ideal evening would be spent eating pizza and blogging about her vast array of fandoms.
